• RECESS INFORMATION

Daily outdoor recess is provided to give students a chance for appropriate social interaction and physical activity. Students should come to school prepared to go outside each day. In the case of inclement weather, the building administrator(s) will use temperature, heat index, wind chill, and playground condition data to determine if recess will be held outside or inside. An indoor recess may be some form of physical activity with teacher-approved games. Chasing (tag) games are prohibited.

These are guidelines only and are not meant to substitute for professional judgment.
