Columbia Public Schools worked with a water testing laboratory to conduct voluntary lead and copper testing within its school buildings. There were more than 1,400 water samples from throughout the school district collected and tested for lead and copper. The results determined that the school district is well above the required compliance guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency's lead and copper rules as applied to public water supplies.
The 2022 testing summary report will soon be available here.
