Midway Heights Elementary School

Midway Heights is a Professional Learning Community. A professional learning community is a group of educators that meets regularly, shares expertise, and works collaboratively to improve teaching skills and the academic performance of students. Our collaboration teams are set up by grade levels and groups– Kindergarten/1^st grade, 2^nd/3^rd grades, 4^th/5^th grades, specialists, and special educators. We meet on a weekly basis for 50 minutes throughout the school year. During our team meetings we are focused on instructional techniques, lesson designs, assessment practices, differentiation for students, discussing student data and discussing professional literature.
